TGIF PHOTO FRIDAY!!

October 17, 2008

Today is Photo Friday.  Please head on over to Nikemom to get the lowdown!!

Today, being all Autumny like and cool outside, i thought i’d do some cool weather baking to welcome the season.  I decided on delicious spiced Pumpkin bread.  It’s the easiest recipe and quite tasty i might add.  So, above is all the ingredients already mixed in a bowl.  You can see the Libby’s pumpkin puree can sitting right next to the bowl.  Smells just like sweet potatoes.

Here we are, in the pan ready to go into the oven.  At this point, i really thought i heard the pumpkin screaming in terror at the thought of being, well cooked.  Poor, Mr. Pumpkin i do apologize but you know this time of year is very dangerous for you guys right??  Protect yourself next year.  Go into hiding perhaps?

And so here we are, the finished product.  It’s really quite delicious say, slathered with almond or peanut butter for breakfast or even a nice snack post run.  Pre run too!  Or during run??  Really, the possibilities are endless.

I will be glad to email the recipe to anybody who leaves me their email addy in comments!!  So, speak up folks before the pumpkins retreat and there is none to be found!!

Two 700 lb pumpkins.  They are not retreating anytime soon.

This is called Brain Hemorrhage.

Have a great Friday everybody!!!  I’m off to eat some pumpkin bread!!

Of course this post wouldn’t be complete without a quote sent to me by TED!  This one is a great one!!

“Putting miles in your training log is like putting money in the bank. You begin to draw interest on it immediately.”

I can smell pumpkin as I read this post. Of course, it helps that my wife made some sort of pumpkin dessert.

Nice pictures. I really like the two huge pumpkins.
