This will come as no surprise to you, my readers, but I really dig riding my bicycle.  Sure, you need so much more gear and stuff to ride safely as opposed to lacing up and going for a run, but the rewards are plentiful.

I absolutely love doing my errands on my bike.  What better way is there to get things done PLUS get exercise PLUS get fresh air PLUS have fun.   I really enjoy the fact that I use my car way less than I used to.   Plus, when your injured and simply can’t run the bicycle is a beautiful alternative.   For me, never as great of a cardio workout but great in every other way possible.

I mostly ride solo, but on those rare occasions when I find myself riding with a group of friends it is sheer heaven.   It’s amazing how much you can discover on a bike ride.  How much you can take in and really observe.   Lots of thinking and concentration too.   Must follow the rules of the road.   Let’s face it, I am savvy.   So, that translates over to how I ride my bike.  SAVVY.  “Well-informed, perceptive, or shrewd”

Lately, I’ve been a bit (how shall I say) stressed.  So, I take it out on my bicycle.   I carpe the shit out of my bike!!!   Or I kick it.  Don’t worry, it doesn’t usually kick me back.

Anyway, so taking a page from Scott, I am going to try to blog every single day of the month of ROCKTOBER.   Wish me luck.

Words are only the shadows of thoughts.

I’m looking forward to reading a blog a day from you. I’ve missed how much you were writing! I might have to do that sometime soon … but I need a cool name for November or December.
